About Us
The Hunar Foundation Canada is a Not for Profit organization setup under Canada’s Not for Profit Corporation Act and registered with Canada Revenue Agency as a charitable organization (registration # 783908312RR0001).
The purpose of the organization is to further the cause of women empowerment through training in vocations, business acumen and skills. The Hunar Foundation Canada is currently engaged with Hunar Foundation Pakistan to further this cause. However, the foundation intends to expand the scope of its operations in Canada and in other geographies around the world.
Board of Directors
Zufiqar Ahmad
Zulfiqar Ahmad is an entrepreneur and a dedicated philanthropist. As President and Board Member of The Hunar Foundation Canada, he is driven by the foundation’s objective to act as a catalyst in the field of technical education and empower youth, in particular women, to become earning members of society. He is an avid cyclist and can often be seen biking in Ontario over long distances.
Khalid Nazim
Khalid Nazim is an entrepreneur and mentor, currently building a manufacturing business in Ontario. He is one of the founding directors of The Hunar Foundation Canada and provides institutional memory and consistency to the board. Khalid is an avid musician and is known to put together shows for friends and family as a producer and keyboardist.
Aziz Rakhla
Aziz Rakhla is an entrepreneur and philanthropist with deep roots in the charity sector in Pakistan. Apart from being on the board of The Hunar Foundation Canada, Aziz is also on the board of the The Citizens Foundation Canada and other charities.
